Privacy and your Christmas Gifts?

Why does privacy matter? We've been discussing the implications of privacy and it's impact on our daily lives. We discussed what's currently going on in China with their development of a citizen rating system. Seems incredibly extreme, but the prevailing thinking among us is that it won't happen here. Or will it. By default many of the products we use today are listening to us. Whether it's through our devices's camera, microphone or by location (GPS tracking). All this data is being used by companies and we have almost no control over it. So before we make our loved one's lives more complicated this Christmas let's do a little research and show that we care about their privacy.
