Why does privacy matter? We've been discussing the implications of privacy and it's impact on our daily lives. We discussed what's currently going on in China with their development of a citizen rating system. Seems incredibly extreme, but the prevailing thinking among us is that it won't happen here. Or will it. By default many of the products we use today are listening to us. Whether it's through our devices's camera, microphone or by location (GPS tracking). All this data is being used by companies and we have almost no control over it. The internet is so big it's sometimes overwhelming. According to  World Wide Websize , there are over 1.8 billion websites that have been indexed. Dig a little deeper and we find that there are levels to the internet. Surface web  is anything that can be indexed by a typical search engine such as Google.
